Inky dark purple. I concentrated aromas of cola, blackberries and sage. Intense flavors of ripe fig, leather and raspberry rounded out with licorice, roasted plum and white pepper. Texture is fat, round and soft on the finish, almost floating along the tongue.

Sep 12th, 2017Zin with a deft touch. Only old French oak barrels. Had some VA on opening, felt a little rustic. Still, some lovely berry pst h character and spice redeemed it in the end, tasty with Thai short ribs (tho almost wanted a more extracted Zin)

Nov 29th, 2014This is a great Zin that packs a punch of flavor without being cloyingly sweet like many Zins these days. Interesting layers and paired well with hearty, spiced meat dishes.
