Newfound Wines
Yount Mill Vineyard Sémillon
Bright green-gold color...lime, lemon pith, unripe citrus notes on the nose. Nice attack of acidity with medium weight on the tongue. Clean, crisp, zippy, alive.... the wine dances effortlessly across the palate with careful fruit/acid balance on the long lingering finish. The wine is fun to drink and is a delightful foil for fresh roadstand produce on a warm lake-side evening. I love this example of a “new” California attempt at food-friendly, Old World style table companions.
