Nice richness from the dried grapes. Can’t complain for $7!

2016v. Dark ruby. Very ripe, baked red fruit. On the palette, ripe strawberries and red cherries, a little raisin, and a little tar. A little weight in the mouth, and tannins with mild grip. Smooth finish. Overall, a very easy drinking wine with a little appassimento technique that gives depth and texture and ripe fruit from Puglia, southern Italy. Great QPR from this Trader Joe's find! 14.5% ABV.

Points for having a passito style wine for puglia, but way over-Oaked and not a bottle worth finishing from TJs

This medium-bodied wine paired well with beef and lamb. Good mouth feel and not too jammy.

Solo glass 12/20/17 - it was aight, but I didn’t get a ton of complexity from it. I appreciated the more up front tannin characteristic

Had higher hopes for this bc I usually like Italian wines. But I couldn't tell that it was a cab sauv and can sauvs are my favorite. The fact that the grapes were dried made it thicker bodied, and had dry rasiny taste. Richer but didn't go with our beef roast. Maybe pairs better with chickens or birds.
