If you’re not aware, my real job (yes I don’t sit around drinking wine all day) is in marketing. Which is why I can appreciate a great piece of marketing like an eye 👁 catching wine label.

However as they say, ‘you can’t put lipstick on a pig’. Therefore you need to have a great product inside and out.

I’m happy to confirm that this Neon Jungle 2018 Pinot Grigio with its glow in the dark label not only looks great but is bloody tasty too! Thank you for the sample Dialogue PR!

As you can see, it’s from Italy and has been produced in a light and fresh style using stainless steel tanks. It’s brand new to Liquorland stores around the country as of last month, retailing for $20.

I found it a yellow silk colour in the glass. While on the nose it made me think of honeyed 🍯 pears 🍐 and apples 🍎, with some camomile and florals in there too. As Mr Spittoon put it, it’s like drinking an ‘acidic honey’ - fruity yet dry and crisp. And it ends with a wonderfully moreish finish. A great summer quaffer.

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
