What a statement towards #IPOB this is a wonderful, ethereal product. Don't give me any bullshit about ripeness. At 12.4% alcohol this has more polyphenolic range than most anything above 14% I've tasted. Wow! Best 40 bucks I've ever spent on a CA wine.

Showing some diacetyl and weight. Maybe some baby fat. I'd love to see how this develops over the next decade

Garnet pale color, lighter style, dried fruit, underbrush, on austere side, very restrained fruit. However good balance, lingering finish. On balance, not my favorite style.

Opened up beautifully over the evening. Showing the warmer vintage character with grace and energy. Layers of red/darker fruit, shiitake mushrooms on nose and palate. Persistent and lively finish. Prime time with distance to travel.

As always, a stunner. This is a delight to drink. Balanced, fruity, light on oak.
