Tons of tobacco, grilled meats, bacon crisping. Comes off more northern Rhone in style than domestic, imo. You could smell it from a distance, the concentration and expression was so pronounced.

Always such well made thoughtful AND thought provoking wines. Grilled rich meat, pepper and dark rich fruit. I prefer the whole cluster but this is excellent. Earthy and vibrant.
