Following this wine on its journey is always a pleasure.
It’s truely finding its stride and is a great representation of just how world class our Chardonnay’s are in The Adelaide Hills region.

Drinks well over a few days, evolution in the bottle is inevitable.

Nice wine without being too exciting. Aromatically the wine keeps to a leaner side with ripe citrus the key with just a whisper of peach skin, followed by a creamy nuttiness. Interest comes to taste with the evidence of lees giving way to some more generosity and mid palate depth. Good wine, but slightly rudimentary

14’ Tilbury Adelaide Hills Chardonnay. Alc - 12.5%
Color -24K gold
This wasn’t approachable a year ago. So much better now. The acid has calm down. Sweet lemon, ginger, cedar, cool fennel perfume, nuts and the like. Light bodied, lemon and white peach, firm but juicy acidity, subtle creaminess and powdery texture. From the winery)

Another smashing vintage of the Tilbury chardy from Murdoch Hills. Perfumed, and very delicious.

Showed some nice flint, apple and, white peach and cereal notes. As it warmed up it began to have a far more dominant and noticeable weight which only enabled a savoury peach character to flow through in the gob
