This was an unexpected stunner. I know nothing about Cotes de Duras but it is from southwest France and apparently this red is merlot dominant. Translucent garnet, all kinds of flower potpourri, cracked pepper and spiced raw meat aromas pouring out of the glass...fresh, fragrant, autumnal, totally captivating.
