Apr 15th, 2021Mount Mary Chardonnay is in the Langtons Excellent Category. Like the Pinot this Chardonnay is built to age and I have had some marvellous aged examples. Mount Mary was James Halliday’s Winery of the Year in Australia last year.

This is a delight. Poached stone fruits, honey and a seam of crème brûlée on the nose, some lime and peach on the palate that still has vitality. Finishes long & nutty, with a sweet honey lick.

Nicely complex bouquet and palate. Med weight, good length, just finishes ever so slightly early. Still lovely to drink.

A bit closed in but really pretty. Lots of white flower and soft stone fruit. Not as much oak/lees influence as other vintages on tasting.
