Ok it is Santa Cruz cab and my first - it was sadly a little too earthy at first - had heat - but gave it more time - and more time and more time - finally after three hours - I am having fun - enjoying - smiling
black fruit, incense and sweet spices
Structured yet silky tannins
Extra refinement of violet, sage, espresso and grilled herbs on the palate - not quite a true home run but a solid base hit and they are youthful - should last another 10 years

Drinking in its prime... tannins and oak well integrated with the firm black fruit, complicated by asphalt and leather, with the superlative freshness of the vintage.

There's slightly too much sweet oak but it fades enough. Otherwise, this is an awesome wine for celebrating steak frites.

Amazing nose of herb garden, earth and flowers. Tart cherry and red berry notes on the palate. Very well structured.
