Morlet Family Vineyards
Les Petits Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Humongous, sweet, massive; loads of black cherry, chocolate, blackcurrant, absolutely overwhelming. Not my bag.

Jul 6th, 2022First time trying this wine. The Somm explained that this was made from young vines. It was pretty impressive. Dark and brooding in the glass, red fruits stand out on the nose. The palate is a touch heavy, fruit forward with dark cherries and hints of chocolate, all balanced by slight savory notes of gravel and olive, sweet tannins, great finish.

Feb 7th, 2021The only Morlet made for early drinking. Fresh and vibrant red fruit but the tannins have already softened quite a lot. Makes for a great pop and pour wine at this px range.

Dec 12th, 2019Ok. So. This wine is still on the way up. More red than black fruit here. Nose here seems quite a bit darker than the palate. Entry is young, sweet red licorice and underripe black cherry. Bit of acidity on the finish. Wine was a bit youthful but IMO this "Petit" Morlet should be called "Le Waaay Petit Morlet." Little more medium bodied than expected. QPR a bit poor here. Drink now. Better yet, sell it off.

Oct 23rd, 2019Love this cuvée! Fruit and tannins well integrated! Ready to pop and pour and you can always open these young while most of Morlet’s cuvées need more time.
