The nose is like a Black Forest cake, chocolate cake and cherry aromas galore. The palate is richer, the spice and meaty flavors are drenched in cherries jubilee, blackberry pie too. A crazy long finish with ripe tannins that barely feel like they are there. All of this is well balanced and not a trace of oak. I would like to try this again in a few years after it sheds the still plenty baby fat!

Feb 6th, 2021Ripe cherries, spices, herbs and a looooong finish. Still get a bit tight though tannins has mellowed and integrated well. Have one more bottle I will let sit to revisit in a couple of years.

Jan 15th, 2020So many layers of flavors, ripe prune, and black fruit followed by a bit of gamey-ness and chocolate. Definitely decant it for 1+ hr.
