Oct 30th, 2013Moric’s Hausemarke (house wine) Super Natural sounds like a late night Austrian infomercial and tastes like chunky peach vanilla soft serve. The label is a deliberate misnomer - this is definitely not house wine.
It’s beautifully aromatic with well integrated oak, orchard fruits, lime, and white pepper.
Mostly Gruner - about 30% Chardonnay. Crisp and clean.

Aug 23rd, 2020One of the most compelling wines I’ve had in a while. Took about 45-60 minutes to open up but once it did I found this Grüner Veltliner/Chardonnay blend to be very seductive, deep, rich, and complex. Constantly evolving yet always approachable. In terms of notes I can’t resist providing what Suburban Wines says about it:
“On the nose, this lovely white shows soft, inviting notes of white pear, muskmelon and key lime juice. Stone-like minerality marks the palate, with complimentary elements of mint, apple blossoms, and Asian pears. The first sip is supple on the palate leading to a finish with firm structure and grip. This is a truly remarkable wine.”
