Bussia Barolo Nebbiolo

Hoping I have these ordered correctly. Red wine #4 from last night. My clear favorite of the night. Then again, things started getting fuzzy after about the 3rd glass!

Just can't remember this wine.

Well balanced with good acid and smooth tannins...hints of rose petals and truffles

I found the 2008 excellent. Had mellowed slightly. It retained a strong tanin as one would expect.

Mature Nebbiolo...juicy red fruit with nice finish

Still needs a lot of time

Still young and aggressive, I may have to hold my other bottle for a couple of years.

Brandied cherries, cedar, ash, pencil shavings, coffee bean, toasted caramel. Mild acid/minimal rough velvet tannin balance, juicy texture, full bodied, smoky herbal finish. More of a modern take on Barolo, not very complex to be expected from an off vintage.

Really drinking well right now.

Medium-minus orange color. Amber, orange, apricot peach jam. Smoky, more like cigarette marketed for women. Toffee, chocolate, caramel.
