This is 60-40 Cab and Syrah. Dark rusty, red. Smells like leather, red licorice, humid humus, and water plants. Flavors are big, smoky and pronounced. Black licorice, tobacco (cigars and pipes), and black cherry juice. This is a big, dense wine that hasn’t softened up much even though it’s almost 10 years on. Nice combo though of the unheard of Cab-Syrah mix. Got another bottle. Maybe age it another 10 years and see how it preforms.
