@Delectable Wine - This is the Teresi Vineyard blend of 50% Zinfandel / 50% Petite Sirah.
Had to carefully decant this due to a sh*t-ton of sediment. Nose is a kaleidoscope of oozing, purple mountain berries and deep florals. In the mouth, there’s an initial whack of purple fruit, but it’s whitewatered along by crisp acids. Tannins are present but a light and fine-grained. Only 12.5% alcohol, so it’s much lighter than a typical Zin/Petite Sirah blend. This would be a great choice for a cookout or with a wide range of pasta dishes (I’m having it with a dish of spaghetti with braised Tuscan kale and leeks). Great value and a unique style.

Dec 30th, 2024Loved this pour, rich, spicy, hint of chocolate, paired well with a dark aged Gouda cheese.

Mar 9th, 2022First time with this producer’s wine, but Pax Mahle’s fingerprint is very evident. One of the most refreshing and drinkable Zinfandels I’ve ever had. What this may lack in complexity it makes up for in deliciousness.
