Bright fresh cherry 100% Nebbiolo sipper from Ghemme + Gattinara + surrounding areas. Typically rustic, but not annoyingly so like some other area producers... some forest floor and barnyard, but balanced with violets and star anise and rhubarb. Very enjoyable.

Always love the "alpine" character Alto Piemonte wines tend to have. Ripe wild berries, cool herbs, wildflowers, licorice root, leaves, minerals. A modestly framed Nebbiolo that shows nerve and packs quite a bit of fruit. Great value and terrific tannin structure for everyday drinking.
