Nov 2nd, 2021Bright and vibrant, but the acid feels tart rather than juicy. Tannins need some resolution as well. Enjoyable, but a bit disjointed.

May 7th, 2016What a huge disappointment. Has a bit of cherry and a hint of roses, but that’s the only thing remotely recognizable as Nebbiolo. All I taste is red fruit and wood. Lots and lots of wood. This a Barbaresco that is trying to mimic a $25 Napa Cab. Bought a few of these cheap online ($20), I guess I’ll sit on the other bottles for a bit to see if they improve, if not then I guess they’ll go into tomato sauce.

Aug 8th, 2017Dried roses and cherry, leather, herbs and underbrush, forest scents too. More fruit forward on the palate with bright acidity and well integrated tannins, already. Food wine for sure. Better with 60 min decant and will certainly improve with a little more bottle time. Finish is dry, with chalk and black cherry fruit.
