Great value for the taste. Notes of cherry and dark fruits. Great with salads, grilled meats or even on its own.

Serious plonk. Still too good for unwanted houseguests, though affordable at $6.99 in Target. Not to be confused with the Steven Kent Mirassou. Winery of Livermore.

First discovered this in 1978 or 79 when visiting Adam during his coop experience at IBM in San Jose. We spent a day in wine country including the Mirassou winery. For years I found it hard to find the brand at home but now it is widely available. In the early 2000s, Tamara and I would attend theatre at The Public in NYC which had the advantage of being near Astor Wines so we would browse and buy after our performance. This wine was often on sale and more than once - after I shared my preference for it with her - we would split a case.

Who says cheap wine tastes as such!?! This one makes my taste buds dance! I must say I throughly enjoy the black cherry flavor. This is one I will keep on hand regularly!

For the price, a very decent wine. Can be enjoyed with most any food or just by itself.
