Solid selection from a reputable producer. On the nose strong herbaceous notes with menthol, mild cherry liqueur, and slight medicinal nuances. On the palate bright, ripe red fruits like plum, blackberry, and cherry with graphite and sweet tobacco. Looking forward to day 2. EDIT: Day 2 and this beast is still surging forward; very fresh and complex with a lovely nose and body. The higher percentage of Cab Franc, however, is not preferable (in my opinion) due to the overtly “green” nuance it gives off; a little too much vegetation/herbaceousness for my complete liking, but still a solid wine nonetheless.

Apr 14th, 2018The Oracle has spoken. Plum on the nose. Rutherford dust, coffee and licorice. Very silky with a Slightly acidic finish, which blew off after an hour decant. Wow this has a lot going on! And a great value at $65

Dec 23rd, 2015Wow. 2010 was full body and plenty of fruit and much better than its 20111 counterpart. I will take 2010 over most 2010 that we have had. Full and nice fruit. I want more.
