Ripe, a bit boozy, but really nice savory elements. Grenadine cherry, stewed plum, licorice, baked earth and clay. Paired with sweet potato shepherd's pie and very well suited.

Needed to be open a little while to lose a semi-medicinal taste. We love Priorat and a lot of the wines from there - this had very dark fruit with cigar box.

Torres family has been related to wine since 17th century when their ancestors first planted vines in the Penedès, a winegrowing region dating to the days of the Phoenicians. Deep Ruby with medium+ nose showing aromas of jammy fruit, pepper and toasty cedar. On the palate this blend of Cariñena, Garnacha and Syrah displays black currant, jammy blackberry and pepper, vivid acidity with robust tannins. Lingering finish ending with fruit and oak character. Nice.

Still studying up on the Priorat wines of Spain. This one is great all around. Deep color, smooth texture, subtle tannins, medium fruit and a long finish. Great with the rich Iberico ham.
