Had another “11 in the cellar, open this about a year later than previous tasting. Dark Ruby with ripe aromas of black and red fruits with tangy spice. On the palate blackberry, plum and cherry with sweet spice, bits of leather and cacao. Well developed soft tannins, good structure and balance, polished acidity on lingering finish ending with earthy mineral notes. Good value for a wine with complexity.

Doesn't taste like a cab. Has so many Tempranillo features. Very very good. Earthy, balanced, nice length.

Full bodied cab blend. The American oak and cab flavors jump out at first. After some air, the wines blended grapes (Tempranillo?) jump out with earthy acidity. An excellent crossover wine for those used to drinking California cabs.

Had 2011 on 130417, rich on the 1st taste after, mid body with no much structure. Not a big fan in paring it with beef tho.

2011 is a little ripe yet but opens a little to reveal a nice flavour. Pairs well with pasta , tomato, and Parmesan cheese.

A favourite Spanish Cabernet sauvignon. Needs 1 hour of aeration before drinking to bring out its best. Goes very well with steak.

A very gentle and obliging dinner companion. A very engaging conversationalist. I would rearrange my dinner plans to have him at my table again.
