It doesn't matter if the glass is half empty or half full...There is clearly room for more precious barbera!

Strong fruit that hints at acidity on the nose. Pairs nicely with pizza and is more tasty with food than alone. My first taste of Barbera!

Light at first, it became much more interesting later on.

Raspberry and some cherry licorice on the nose. A bit of barnyard blew off after about 15 mins open. The palate is more raspberry and red berries along with rich garden soil. Nice lively acidity and minerals on the finish.

Solid Barbera. Fruity, some tannins, but still not too heavy. Well balanced.

Deep ruby color with dark berry fruit aromas and spice. On the palate rich cherry and Berry flavors emerge followed by some spice and toasty oak. Vivid acidity, velvet tannins and mineral it hits on the medium finish. The 2012 was somewhat bigger than the 2011. This is a great value!
