Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Very solid at this level

Dark, savory, spicy. Fine concentration and length. This has become a top grower in the southern Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise.

Beetroot, rhubarb, cranberry, Cote Chalonnaise spice. Nice acid backbone, which makes me think there’s a lot of Rully in this. Lifted and focused. Good value. #sarrazin #cotechalonnaise #pinotnoir

Juicy. Fruity.

Tasty, drinkable, clean Pinot at the price point. Acidity expresses as mellow tanginess, not raw. Loses a little character after airing out a bit.

Young and light; benefits from breathing a bit; jammy with dark fruit and cherries

While the aroma does not have the individuality, dimensionality and intensity of the best, it does have satisfying depth and density of body with good acidity and astringency. A typical very good traditional French Red that is not trying to compete in the modern global market. It is not polished and refined but is alive, direct, honest and proud.

Very young wine, maserated cherries, raspberries, plums. More tart on the palate, very jammy raspberry. Opened up nicely after an hour, a little more smooth than first taste.
