Gorgeous nose of mid season cherries, huge stoney minerality, cherry flower and licorice. Really elegant and ethereal. Stunning depth and sweetness and unreal clarity to the fruit. Dense and structured but also elegant and sappy. Wow. This is a true wow wine. Amazing fruit presence. After air nose gets crazy floral with roses and violets. Terrific concentration, structure and density allied with freshness. This is outrageous. Wow. Totally crazy, long finish. Genius wine. The nose gets crazier and crazier as it opens. More layered and more detailed. OMG this is so juicy and complex. Beautiful tannins. Almost a 9.6. I think it is one now but I’m only 99.5% sure. What a wine.

Oct 25th, 2020So different than the Les Charmots. Nose is more ethereal and layered. Cherry and cherry flower but it is so lacey and nuanced. Gorgeous. Incredible florals. Pastille. Sweet raspberry. Just stunning. So delicate. Some BBQ and smoke as well. Palate has a painfully sweet intensity and incredible concentration yet remains light on its feet. Gorgeous purity and wonderful ripe tannins. Wow the freshness in this wine is off the charts. This is more tannic than the Charmots. After some air the nose is crazy. Such detail. This estate reminds me of a more polished accessible Billard-Gonnet.

A but closed at this point but showing truly beautiful fruit. Crushed cherry, iron undergirding, fleshed out with mineral, licorice, menthol. Very pretty & poised but hold for now.

At peak
Nose: gods blackberry perfume. Blackberries. Intoxicating. Elegant. A hint of sexy blackberries. sensual. Attacks the nostrils almost like a spice but not spicy.
Palate is clean blackberry juice. A hint of perfect cherry. The fruit here is insanely perfect. The rebourgeon style. Good intensity and palate thrust. A hint of blueberry.
I’m not getting much palate complexity at 2 hours or this would be higher.
