Michel Picard
Beaujolais-Villages Gamay
Actually not bad at all for $6. Light, slight earthiness, fruit has faded a bit. This is in a good place.

Aug 3rd, 2017Raspberry plum and some orange zest.
A guest brought it for rib night in the OBX. Paired surprisingly well.

Picked up at Thief wine in the under $10 section. Really juicy and bright for a red. Made my tongue a little tingly. More astringent than I would like.

Sep 15th, 2017Nice Beaujolais. Not too fruity. Drank more like a soft Pinot noir.

Jun 11th, 2017I recently watched "Somm, in the bottle" and the all the sommeliers that they interviewed agreed that Beaujolais was the most under estimated French wine. My experience with this was enjoyable. The wine expressed terroir and fruit. Neither to over powering. It was enjoyable and I will seek more to enjoy this summer. Don't judge, just drink.
