Syrah
This is very rich in color and on the palate with notes of blackberry and plum. Slightly tannic with a peppery finish. Very nice after another busy day.

Nose of brambly black fruits, underbrush, smoke, and some black cherry. Rich, fruit driven palate, with black cherry liquer, blackberry, forrrest floor, and some medium tannins to lend structure. A style that will have fans in both the new world and old world arenas. Perhaps a bit quick on the finish. I would mistake this for a GSM blend rather than pure syrah.
An outstanding value at around $16.

My first introduction to French Syrah is one of Deja Vu. More dry and spicy than your Australian Syrah's but delicious none the less. The finish doesn't linger long on the tongue and with notes of red fruit and wood this floral red is definitely worth trying if you like earthy wines.

Oct 21st, 2018Definite smell of bacon on the nose.. Some dark blueberry and sweet cherry as it opens up in the glass. Crazy velvety smooth mouthfeel with just a touch of spice on the finish. Nice wine but I'd never know it's a Syrah.

Dec 20th, 2016This is a value Syrah, and I love anything from the Rhône Valley. What I liked about this one though was that it didn't have a high astringency or any heavy gamey notes. Instead it was bountiful in dark ripe fruits, had richness, power, and yet was silky finishing in choco finesse with a lingering pepper spice.
