Brought by a friend from his cellar. Popped and poured. The 2016 “Les Charmes Dessus” pours a bright yellow color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with rather powerful notes of tropical fruits: pineapple and passion fruit with some lemons, honeysuckle, caramel, limestone minerals and subtle baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and grippy, slightly chalky. There is a very attractive, creamy texture too. A very lovely wine that works pretty darned well with octopus carpaccio. Drink now through 2031.

This needed a decant. Showed its best at the end of the night. Terrific minerality.

Toujours emballé par les vins de Bouzereau. Sur ce millésime très bon on a un vin très tendu précis avec de belles notes agrumes. On aurait pu se laisser tenter par dire qu'on avait du Puligny.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to try this vintage again 10 years from now. I drank it too soon. Acids are out of whack right now. Nevertheless, it seems like it will evolve into something magical at a later date.

Powerful and creamy, lacks some elegance, but I'd still be more than happy to drink this on a regular basis.
