Ripe peach and honeysuckle. Good acidty, and much less alcohol than the ripe Viogniers coming out of California. Tasty, I would drink again!

A great example of Viognier from Virginia, I was surprised to find nice minerality and brighter orchard fruits, medium bodied and deftly balanced, it finishes on a high note with a really nice beam of fresh acidity. Who knew Viognier could dazzle in this style, terroir from Virginia indeed on display here.

2013 Viognier. Soft nose, canned fruit on palate. Disappointing.

2015 tasted 2018. Pale yellow. Hints of ripe tree fruit on the nose, though not particularly fragrant. Ripe, juicy palate, soft mouthfeel suggestive of malolactic fermentation possibly? Overall a good full bodied white but lacking the bouquet and fruit palate of an outstanding Viognier.
