First night was so so. Second night was better. Third night and this wine started to shine.

Always a nice bottle from a solid producer especially for the price point.

2nd taste. Cocoa, vanilla, coffee, blackberry, and licorice on the nose. On the palate, this full bodied, well balanced wine brings a mouthful of rich dark chocolate with cherry and slight tobacco/smoke undertones. Truly must decant this wine to get flavors to evolve. Medium long finish with medium tannins. Love Chocolate you will love this wine but other flavors are reached on the nose and not the palate. l like this wine with food or as a sipper. Very good value at 14.99 for such a smooth rich wine.

I love a good Syrah and this does not disappoint. I’ve tried most of their other reds and this one is just as enjoyable.

Deep purple in color with a purplish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, sweet cherries, black plums, raisins, dried figs, tobacco, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, smoke, root beer and black pepper.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, cooked plums, sweet cherries, raisins, vanilla, cedar, leather, chocolates, tobacco, coffee, peppercorn, mocha, spices, earth, light vegetables and pencil lead.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a great Syrah from California. Very fruity with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel. Nice and balanced, but might be too fruity for some.

Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up (30 minutes).

Wine Enthusiasts 91 points.

A blend of Syrah grapes with a touch of Petite Sirah. Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.

15% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$17.

Intensely inky purple in color. blackberry, licorice and red fruit leather on nose. Raspberry, briar and mint in mouth with cola and barrel char in finish; good acidity with slight astringency. Great value that screams Lodi red. Aroma and flavor profile hints at an overripe style but ethanol is restrained

Pepper and blackberry were dominate. Good everyday wine.
