Meyer-Fonné
Gentil Alsace White Blend
Classic, pretty Gentil from a great producer. Aromatically rich right upon opening with elderflower, ginger, peach and lychee coming through clearly. The wonderful perfume didn’t hold up very well on the second day, but the wine still shows good texture and freshness across the palate.

May 29th, 2018Digging these 2014s from Alsace. Lighter for sure, but fresh, clean, precise. Plenty of charm from Riesling, Muscat, & Pinot blanc. Bacchus himself could not have fashioned a more magical pairing with seafood pancake.

Nov 12th, 2014Lovely blend. Medium-plus acidity and medium body. Pear and a dried floral note with the bass support provided by deep and rich spices. Would drink over many—but not all—Rieslings.

Feb 5th, 2023Light floral nose once the wine wasn’t too cold. Lime, white peach and tingly acidity. Very enjoyable.
