I like this so much more than most Sonoma / RR PN. Red fruit-driven, excellent mouthfeel...silky.

Catching up on things...A nice Pinot. However, I think this would have probably been better one or two years ago. And certainly has enough weight and character. But, the fruit notes on this one have become a little bit muted, maybe potentially generic and tart? Edwards Pinots to me have never seemed to be overly sweet and even a tad bit tart and herbal. Didn't get much of the herbal side. More of a dirty, tart fruit. Finished with minimal acidity. Drink now.

2006. Raspberry/ dark cocoa notes throughout, on strong varietal fruit harmonized with darker background. Distinct and authoritative; concentration of flavor almost port-like but purely natural from the grapes without any sugar or too much alcohol. Impressive.

Very dense... this is a serious Pinot. Subtle dark cherries smell and flavors. A masculine wine..

Mature colour, browning and fairly clear around the edges. An object lesson in mature new world Pinot. An explosion of red and black fruit that follows on with an unusual hint of jasmine tea as the tannins have softened into harmony - I've tasted this before in New Zealand Pinot of a certain age but not Californian, but it indicates a quality of the grape. The note is unusual, but not out of tune. Still lively but perhaps reaching the end of its peak drinking window so don't delay, though that said quite youthful in many ways considering its age. 2005 vintage, tasted December 2015
