Lovely gold color with aromas of honey, melons, and butterscotch. In the mouth it is creamy and palate covering with intense lingering fruit with butterscotch and honey overtones. The flavors last for minutes. If there is a fault it lacks acidity and has slightly more residual sugar to be in balance with the acidity . In its youth it was light and balanced; a great food wine. Now it may go better with cheesecake and desserts. None the less an excellent wine.

Top notch Sauvignon blanc. Has complexity beyond the citrus flavors expected of the varietal. 2009 vintage is still in great shape. Perfect with sushi.

This review is for the 2009 Merry Edwards RRV Sauvignon Blanc -- Light golden yellow (straw) color that is a bit darker than most Sauvignon Blancs. The nose gives aromas of light floral, lemon grass, honeysuckle, and a light background sweetness (that almost resembles a yellow cake batter, but this faded as the wine opened). Flavors contain herbal, lemon, grapefruit, and mineral notes. There is good weight from an oily consistency that also adds complexity. The wine drank pretty consistently over three days when stored in the refrigerator with a VacuVin. Way to go Merry, another nice wine.

Buttery for a Sauv, yet still crisp. Light lemon citrus fruit

Our favorite Sauvignon Blanc... Very consistent year to year. Not your typical citrus, much more herbal.
