It’s a dark wine, inky. The nose is full of blackberry and spice, and to a lesser degree, earth and smoke. It smells, and tastes, a bit like Bordeaux - which I would guess they’d be pretty happy about in Washington State. In the sip there is dark fruit and plenty of it, but a savory aspect joins in for a really balanced approach. The tannins are capable enough to match up with tri tip, but they don't irritate if you just want to sip a good Malbec. A really good Malbec.

Dark plum and concentrated blackberry jam are lifted with notes of mint. Warm baking spices, purple lavender and cocoa add to the complexity of the aromas. The dusty tannins create a round, full mouth that leads into a sleek, lingering finish. This wine has captured a beautiful balance of powerful fruit and elegant tannins.

The color is a deeeeep blackish red. On the nose there’s aromas of plums, blackberries, lavender, mint, vanilla, and cocoa. There’s also my beloved burn from ethanol fumes. On the palate it’s medium bodied with a chalky mouthfeel, powdery tannin, and quite a bit of heat from the alcohol. There’s flavors of plums, cranberries, milk chocolate, and creamed coffee. It finishes with cranberries, creamed coffee, astringency from the tannin, and heat from the alcohol.

On the nose, plummy chocolate-drizzled dark fruit with a hint of pie crust. Plums appear again on the palate, augmented by oaky, smoky spice and strong black tea. Inky, dense, linear.
