Scent has notes of blackberries and spice. Smooth, buttery taste with a bit of an earthy, oaky flavor. This wine has character.

Not very compelling out of the bottle. Unbalanced acid and astringency. The alcohol stays prominent throughout the bottle. Mild fruits get overshadowed by strong tannins. Not awful, but I wouldn't buy it again.

We did a head to head taste-off between Agua de Piedra and another Malbec called Colores Del Sol. We enjoyed this wine and I rated it higher than the Colores, but overall our combined ratings declared Colores the victor. Read why here: http://goo.gl/800yLr
