Another hit. Always more fun when you taste the winemaker Luis Perocco.

Paired well with epic toddler meltdowns, lamb burgers, duck fat potatoes, thunderstorms, and a hint of regret

A Malbec from old vines in Mayor Drummond, Luján de Cuyo, that spent 12 months aging in one-third new and two-thirds used oak. Bright purple in the glass. The nose features candied plum and jam and hints of pepper and allspice, as well as tomato preserve, vanilla and herbs. Concentrated, substantial and well-balanced, with a light, slightly rustic feel enhanced by the active tannins, which also deepen the profile. Well made in a ripe style. (Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, October 2020)

On the nose, beautifully, ripe and floral fruits of; blackberries, blueberries black raspberries, sweet tarry notes, black licorice, loamy soils, dry clay, dark rich warm soils, soft baking spices and very fresh florals.

On the palate, the body is full. The tannins soft and dusty. It was really nice from when it first splash the palate. Nice warm medium spice. The fruits are lightly ruby, ripe and fresh. Blackberries, blueberries, black raspberries, black plum. Dark chocolate, mocha, caramel, great baking spices, loamy clay, stones, clay, crushed rocks, beautiful round acidity and a rich, round, elegant and well balanced finish.

Photos of; their Estate Malbec vines, signage on the year the Estate vineyard was planted and Malbec grapes just put in a open top fermenter.

Probably the best $20 9 year old wine you could have. Tastes like $100 Bordeaux
