Wow. This is absolutely fantastic. Intense sour cherries mixed with dried raspberries on the nose, the wine has a medium-to-full bodied palate with amazing intensity (especially given its age). The flavors just keep evolving toward a lingering finish. Not sure if this is characteristic of the 2011s from Melville or just the Mount Eden clone, this is easily one of the best Melville pinots we’ve had in a long time. Awesome.
