Melville
Inox Clone 76 Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay
Nice bright yellow color. Saline, crushed rocks dominate mixed with toasted almond, lemon, citrus and little bit corn. Oak presents but not oak monster, kind of like he's peeking around the corner. Slightly reduced. Not a very appealing nose for me personally. Full bodied, good acidity and structure. Grapefruit stands out on the palate, slight bitter and salty on the finish. I like it pretty much despite the nose wasn't that attractive for me. I paired with trout, worked well. 350 cases produced. 13% alc. 2014 vintage

Length is great, acidity building beautifully.

Had a bottle of this within the first year or two after release...and it is SO much better now. Terrific!
