A pleasant reminder of how delicious good Chianti can be. Not overly structured but with lots of hallmark Sangiovese sour cherry fruit notes and ripe but evident tannins. Less drying on the finish than is typical for Chianti.

Excellent finish just what you want from a Sangiovese. The 1.5 liter is a great value.

May be the best bottle under $8 that I've ever consumed. Red raspberries and spices with a hint of almond finish.

Primarily Sangiovese with small amounts of Canaiolo Nero, Malvasia and Trebbiano blended in. Murky garnet color with a ruby core. Aromas of dried red fruits, violets and forest floor. Flavors of dried cherries and raspberries, baking spices and dried herbs. Notes of roasted nuts and earth on the medium finish. Acidity and tannins are a bit sharp which negatively affects the balance. Bone dry and medium bodied. Alcohol heat is noticeable. Thanks for the taste, Chris B!

Chianti made from grapes grown along the Elsa River. Blend of Sangiovese (85%), Canaiolo (10%), Malvasia (3%) and Trebbiano (2%). Bright ruby color. Aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, black raspberry and violets. Same fruits on the pallet with hints of bramble berries and roasted nuts. Hint of baking spice on the finish. Light body and slightly tannic. Interesting.
