Was surprised by the taut and relatively complex line of acidity, but make no mistake: a feral, natural beast of a wine. Fermented plum & blackberry fruit, medium light body, that warm & friendly Zweigelt nose, but here with hops. My first dip with this vintner, who seems to harbor quite the impressive breadth of variety.

Got at Cru, drank at home. For me, this is very red. I need to eat some steak or sit by a fire with this.

Damn good wine. Didn’t blow me away but it made me smile. That’s all we are looking for in this life.
