Meinklang makes delicious skin contact wines. This Graupert is based on Pinot Gris. Apple and orange aroma with a funky note. Taste of ripe apples and tea. Dry and the slightly bitter finish is on the shorter side. Cellar temperature is cold enough for this orange wine.

Sep 29th, 2020Love the skin contact Pinot Gris selections! This felt on the dank side, which I liked. Very cloudy, cider-like visual character. It had a balanced nose of sharp citrus and overripe melon sort of fighting with one another. The flavor was a blend of apple juice, slight pear, grapefruit and dirt.

May 20th, 2020I’ve had a number of orange wines, but this was the first that smelled and tasted of #LiquidOrangeRind. Couldn’t pull my nose out of the glass. Perhaps a touch on the tart side, but I really enjoyed this. Met the winemaker at RawWineLA back in November and looked for a couple of bottles. 11.5% ABV. #RomoWine

Jun 11th, 2018The most unusual wine I have ever had. I thought it was an orange wine : a Riesling or Muscat left on the skins too long. So bizarre. So intriguing. So oily and soft. So amazing. So perfect with sea bass. So worth it. Don't even think about getting this Aaron Fallon...you are getting two bottles for Xmas 2015
