I think this would be a decent intro to orange wine for someone who has never had it. A bit funky but not too much. Light orange in color.

Meinklang makes delicious skin contact wines. This Graupert is based on Pinot Gris. Apple and orange aroma with a funky note. Taste of ripe apples and tea. Dry and the slightly bitter finish is on the shorter side. Cellar temperature is cold enough for this orange wine.

Golden- oxidative, canned melon and candied ginger notes. Pithy citrus and high minerality. Charming.

A beautiful showcase of Pinot Gris grape with a nice orange hue from the skin contact. Absolutely delish and not too sweet. Slightly acidic and lingering finish. Lovely.

Love the skin contact Pinot Gris selections! This felt on the dank side, which I liked. Very cloudy, cider-like visual character. It had a balanced nose of sharp citrus and overripe melon sort of fighting with one another. The flavor was a blend of apple juice, slight pear, grapefruit and dirt.
