First impressions - a classical Cabernet nose with Tobacco leaf Cedar and Plum. Medium to full bodied. A very correct "left bank" Cabernet blend with the 24% Merlot filling out the mid palate. Proving again that Stellenbosch is one of the best New World areas for Cab blends.

Deep mix of garnet and ruby red. Dark nose with dark spices and tons of herbaceous notes. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Layers on the palate coated with bell peppers, a touch of dark fruits and a little earthy. Long and lingering finish. Great potential. Drink till 2030. (91+)

So herbaceous. Green bell, asparagus, almost medicinal herbaceousness. Medicinal would be the key word.

Excellent. So much fruit and well integrated oak. This has years ahead of it.
