Meerea Park
Hell Hole Sémillon
Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia

It is starting to build up some character and complexity
Grapefruit, litchees, lanolin, a bit smoky too
Nice finish with a good amount of acid still there

This is a very different semillon from the Hunter Valley
The fruit is grapefruity and a bit of litchee, there is some clay, little smoky and lanolin pretty pronounced too.
Quite a long finish
Complex and very enjoyable 👍

Quite a different style of Hunter semillon I’d say
More earthy, almondy bitterness to finish and all supported by a good freshness
I don’t mind it at all
I find it quite Italian style wine
Very enjoyable
It will age a few years but not too long, drink up and enjoy it 🤪🤪

Still unbelievably young, nervous and bright. On day two some notes of waxy wet wool, fresh garden herbs and a splash of lime-juice come to surface. Like it.
