Blockbuster of a Cabernet. A touch eucalyptus, but mostly currant and black berry baked tart on the nose. Also smells a touch hot, but also the intense fruit extraction wafts through the glass. You can sense the weight of what your about to taste. Wet mesquite. Rich extraction of black fruit. Juicy!, but dry and deep.

Valentine's wine dinner 2017. Paired with filet mignon with foie gras butter and roasted cipollini onion, and side of saffron butternut squash purée. Overall a very good CA cab.
