McPrice Myers
Hommage a Stevan Larner Grenache Blend
2014 Vintage. 14.8% ABV. 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah. Larner Vineyard in Ballard Canyon. This was singing, violets and iodine with good acidity, velvet mouthfeel and long finish. Mmm… Larner.

Feb 26th, 2016The best McPrice Myers wine I've ever had, this is a grenache-dominated blend that is just fantastic. Probably missed its peak by a year or two, this wine has lost a bit of its backbone but has remarkable intensity in terms of fruit for a 9-year-old wine. Needs to be drunk at or just below cellar temperature - gets a bit cloying when it warms up too much - but at the right temperature this wine is terrific!
