A zesty blend of tart raspberry, dusty sage and spiced blood orange wafts up from the 2021 Bull by the Horns. This performs well above its price point, silky and suave with vibrant acidity that energizes its tart black fruits and exotic spice. A cascade of violets and lavender resonate throughout as the 2021 finishes with a classic tug of fine tannins.

Bottle #4 of the night. Great value. Straight up Cabernet Sauvignon - great with Pizza.

Delicious. Great pick for my first rating. High tannins. Great, but subtle flavor. I find myself tasting over and over but find nothing I dislike about this puppy. 9.4 and it’s not just because Duke is winning.

Hmmm…in my search for an inexpensive Paso Robles Cab por mi esposa, es posible que este Paso is one of the better ones. Strangely, inelegantly named Paso Robles Cab, 2020 vintage but has balance and is tasty (nope…can’t find the tar, dirt, tree, bark, spice, or sauce others palates find…or they conjure up). Doubt that elegance was sought here but but but…the wine is definitely underrated, holds a deep purple-red berry full flavor without excessive plums, This is a a dark berries-that’s-not-grape or plum flavor wine. Although high alcohol at 14.8%, smooth enough, full flavored enough, full bodied enough to consider buying again. Big enough for big food.
