Piquepoul, leave it to Kim McPherson to do something off the wall. Somewhere between a Garnanche Blanc, Albariño, and a Viognier.

Picpoul from Texas?!?! Wild but true - blind tasting would have yielded a firm Sauv Blanc response: fat for a white, bit green in color and on palate / herbaceous & grassy w/some apple and citrus notes thrown in - strong acidic backbone and quite angular. Could stand up to some hearty food - far from the rendition found in Southern France

Pear, golden apple, floral notes. Good acidity. Complex. Interesting wine. Great with the Caesar salad.
