3 Amigos Marsanne Roussanne Chardonnay

Really great wine off an all Australian list.

Beautiful blend from McHenry Hohnen. Perfect for a near full moon down the beach. Rich enough to change wines though. Marsanne, Roussanne, Chardonnay,

Most expensive red in cottiers. It’s ok.

This was one of my Dad's winery picks to stop at on our recent long weekend in Margs and I'm so glad he chose McHenry Hohnen to stop at - lots of tasty Chardonnay on offer, great service and the free-range pork chorizo from David Hohnen's The Farm House Margaret River smallgoods were also available at the cellar door to purchase.

The 3 Amigos 2011 is a blend of Marsanne, Chardonnay & Roussanne which we all found rather interesting on the palate. It's a highlighter yellow on the eye with a warmth on the nose full of orchard fruits, toasted nuts and vanilla. The palate is nicely rounded and the flavour packs a punch with a lovely long finish. It's rich yet approachable and most definitely food-friendly. Definitely one to share with your 'amigos'.

Interesting blend fun storyline but taste too acidic and sharp. Below expectation as the sourness overpowers and not much balance.

Tried it Cheek by Jowl restaurants in Singapore. First time to try - lovely blend, very approachable wine.
