Amarone DOC from 1990 (it was not a DOCG yet), 15%. I guess this bottle had not been kept in very good condition. The color was still nice and clear, but the nose lacked all the characteristics. Ok in the mouth, no defects, but I was expecting much more!

A good example of a classic Amarone with nuances of black chocolate and liqueur cherry in aroma. Good acidity and long aftertaste. There are aome black cherry, black fruit, balsamic, black raisin, dried cranberry, brown sugar and anise.
